Historic location
Located near the Croatian National Theatre, which boasts more than 100 years of history, Theatrum restaurant is a gem within the historic House Jelaska, built in 1911. This building is not only famous but also a proclaimed immovable cultural heritage and protected cultural heritage site. Just a few steps away lies the renowned Marmont Street, leading directly to the lively Riva promenade. Adjacent to Theatrum restaurant is the Church of Our Lady of Good Health (Gospe od Zdravlja), featuring a still-preserved 17th-century Franciscan monastery bell tower.
A short walk of just a few hundred meters, or about 2-3 minutes, takes you to the ancient Diocletian Palace. This remarkable site, dating back 1700 years, is one of the best-preserved remnants from Ancient Roman times. Surrounded by such rich history and culture, dining at Theatrum offers more than just great food—it’s a journey through time.
